Yosegire-juban recycled from many silk crepe fragments which are all vegetable-dye and from late Edo period (around mid 19th century). They are:katazome and wild silk stripe dyed with shikon (root of purple grass), katazome (stencil-resist dye) dyed with indigo and benibana (safflower), itajime (board-clamp dye) dyed with benibana which is the center cloth in the back. The lining is plain weave benibana dyed silk. It has thick cotton in the hem. In excellent condition. The second half of the 19th century. 126cm x 156cm
