Woman's kimono with "Kogin-sashi" which is embroidery with white cotton thread on indigo dyed hemp. It was made in "Tsugaru" region, now the west part of Aomori prefecture in Tohoku district. This embroidery pattern is named "Kawari yotsu mameko" which means arranged 4 beans. There are nearly 30 patterns of kogin-sashi. It has folded sleeves that means it had long sleeves and worn for special occasion, and then worn for everyday wear with folded sleeves. In good condition but has wear and mending. The second half of the 19th century. 106cm x 96cm
