Silk Karaori obi (sash) with kasuri which is one cloth, without no seam. It is remade from fukuro obi to more casual Nagoya obi. The technique is "Karaori (Chinese style weaving)" which has woven pattern of wefts, called "Enuki (complementary weft)". The kasuri technique is called "Shimekiri" Karaori is used for No drama costume. Late 19th to mid 20th century. In good condition but has some light stains. 32.5cm x 3m40cm
