Basho-fu kimono which is handwoven of banana fiber and both warps and wefts are hand-plied. It has indigo dyed katazome (stencil-resist-dye) which looks dyed later with natural brown color for the ground. The original kimono has stripes. Generally in good condition but has some minor wear, holes and brown color faded parts. The second half of the 19th century. 114cm x 106cm
