Patchworked han-juban (short under kimono) made of recycled silk fragments from old kimono. They are: silk crepe with katazome (stencil-resist-dye) and hikizome (direct dye with a brush) which are all vegetable dye. It has interesting geometric pattern in the center back. The lining is natural indigo dyed tsumugi (pongee). In excellent condition. The second half of the 19th century. 128cm x 87cm
