Woman's katsugi or kazuki (head veil) made of thin plain weave silk with beautiful katazome (stencil-resist-dye) whose pattern is traditional "Matsukawa-bishi" with round pattern of Onaga-dori (one kind of rooster). Katsugi was worn by a woman when she went out. The neck part is lowered in front for easier wearing on the head. Katsugi with this zigzag pattern is called "Gosho katsugi", worn by a court noble woman. In good condition but has one rip in the top head part (5mm) and some tiny holes. The second half of the 19th century. 134cm x 151cm
