Kaji-hanten (fireman's coat) made of hand-spun cotton with hand-stitched sashiko (quilting). It has katazome design colored with pigments and dyed with vegetable indigo. It looks never worn. Firemen poured water over their heads and made all items wet such as Kaji-hanten, hood, gloves and other. Meiji period (1868~1912) 124cm x 123cm
