Han-juban (short under kimono) made of hand-spun cotton cloth with shibori (two kinds) which is vegetable indigo dye and probably made in Akita Pref. in Tohoku. Sleeves are made of tsumugi (pongee silk), cotton and velveteen. The lining is cotton with katazome (stencil-resist-dye). In good condition except for some wear in the pongee silk in the back sleeve. The second half of the 19th century. 126cm x 70cm
