Choken which is a costume of Noh drama worn in the scene of dancing. It is made of sik weft gauze and has "Hi-ogi (painted fan, made of slats of cypress wood)" design woven of gold wefts. Vegetable indigo and yellow dye. Heavily used and has many mending stitches, holes and a rip. The first half of the 19th century (late Edo period.) 196cm x 115cm
