Yamato kasuri man's kimono made of hand-spun cotton for wefts and machine-spun cotton for warps. Yamato kasuri was woven since mid 18th century in Yamato region (Nara Pref.) Cotton kimono, white or indigo ground, with small kasuri pattern was very popular among students and men in Meiji and Taisho period (mid 19th to early 20th century). Generally in good condition except for a few stains. Late 19th to early 20th century. 130cm x 127cm
