Baby's ceremonial kimono made of asa (hemp or ramie) whose wefts and warps are hand-plied. It has "Takara-Zukushi (all treasures)" design which are: treasure balls, lucky mallets, bags with gold, weights, mino (straw raincoat), rain hats, scrolls, cloves, storehouse keys etc. The dye technique is "kata-Yuzen" which is both used katazome (stencil-resist dye) and Yuzen-zome (free-hand painting with rice paste-resist.) Belts are benibana (safflower dyed) asa. In good condition except for some color faded parts in the lower back. The first half of the 19th century. 81cm x 94cm
