Fragments of silk brocade for Meiji obi (sash). Jacquard loom was imported from France in mid 19th century and silk brocade with exquisite small pattern was much produced in Nishijin in Kyoto. Some have washi lining and others have not. Meiji period (1868~1912) 78 frgments from 13.5cm x 5.5cm to 34.5cm x 29cm
