A nice Chinese walnut snuff bottle with carvings of Lohans. Measuring about 2 inches high, it dates early 20th C.

Although not marked, this art glass piece bears the styling and quality of Victorian pieces made by the Stevens and Williams Ltd of England and in the 1870s under the direction of John Northwood (son Harry Northwood was a glass maker in America). The body is an oval pill-shaped translucent light turquoise glass with an open oval top that is bordered with a scalloped ribbon crest. At each narrow end is a small applique of amber glass. Beautiful antique English sewing etui containing antique sewing paraphernalia and a perfume bottle. In the shape of a small book titled "Lady's Companion", the box is brown leather with gold gilt embossing and is lined with red velvet and paper. There is a small lift-out compartment that once held thread, small bobbins. etc. A cardboard with notes has written in graphite the date "December 26, 1852". Lovely little Inaba white cloisonne box with a silver finish. The lid features flowers in a rocky garden setting and inside the box is engraved with flowers. Marked with Inaba logo on base bottom, it is also maked inside with the logo and the words "Made in Japan". In excellent condition, it measures 3.5 by 3 inches, and 1.5" high. Dates mid 20th C.

Beautiful pink jug or pitcher manufactured by the Dunbar Glass Company in the 1920’s. If is often called pre-depression glass since it was made prior to the depression era but resembles depression glass. It is about 10” tall with an etched flower, sometimes referred to as cornflower, on the body. Estimating it will hold about 50 ounces more or less. Excellent condition.

A complete Dunbar beverage set is hard to find. Usually the tumblers are broken and only the tray caddy survives. This style of beverage service called Bridge Set and its purpose was to be used at the card table. Although it is often referred to as depression glass, it was really manufactured in the 1920’s. The tray measures 12.5” from handle to handle and has a variety of uses on its own such as cake plate, sandwich or appetizer serving tray. Richly glazed in deep blue this Chinese jar has a dark brown glazed interior to accommodate liquid storage. The lid has an embossed Chinese symbol for longevity which suggests to me the jar's intent was to store something special for your health and well being. Late 19th C Chinese famille rose porcelain pillow with a lovely hand painted design of woman in a garden setting with the opposing side featuring a bird perched in a beautiful flowering tree. The enameling on the bird and tree is particularly rich. On one end of the pillow there are 8 spur marks surrounding the pierced decoration. In good antique condition there is some general wear and rubbing, some chips at corners and kiln pops along the edges. Measures 5" x 5" x 2.5"

A tasteful Edwardian rectangular serving tray, solid oak with brass enforced rounded corners, authentic warm patina. In excellent condition, it measures 15.5 inches long by 9.75" wide. Dates circa 1900.

An elegant Thomas Ellis sterling silver and whalebone toddy ladle with an elongated bowl with a rope twist edging. The twisted baleen handle affords a better grip and retains its original end cap. 18th century hand chased Georgian silver toddy ladle embossed with festoons, birds, flowers and a shield bearing the beautifully engraved initials "EC". These ladles were used to serve toddy from a serving rummer or punch bowl and ideal for warming brandy. The twisted whalebone handle affords a better grip and has a silver end cap. Rare 19th century Irish cut crystal footed master salt with a fluted body and a handsome roll over collar. The bottom of the foot has micro abrasions. A stunning Japanese Imari plate featuring a stand of blue iris with 2 delicate butterflies overhead. In excellent condition, it measures 9.75 inches in diameter. Dates Meiji, circa 1875.

This finely detailed Chinese porcelain plate would make a fine addition to any Rose Mandarin or Rose Medallion collection. It is unusual in that the central medallion features a group of scholars. The rough and somewhat gritty bottom of the plate without any factory markings suggest a factory production circa 1850-1891. In very good antique condition, there is some wear to the enameling in one spot. See photos. Measures 9.5 inches diameter.

Circa 1850 small underglaze blue Chinese jar (see 2nd photo for size) with original lid. Photos do not do this jar justice. We guarantee you will not be disappointed. In excellent condition, this little treasure measures 2.75" high including finial and 2.5" diameter.

Early 1800's underglaze cobalt blue decorated Chinese tea bowl stands. The center of the dish is open with a raised collar and the opening designed to accommodate a footed tea bowl. The underside is decorated with concentric rings and three stylized bats. The side of the foot ring is decorated with auspicious symbols. In very good condition showing very little sign of wear. They measure 4 inches diameter, interior diameter 2 1/8" and 1 1/8" high.

A charming Japanese Arita porcelain shallow bowl of circular form with raised, lobed rim, decorated in underglaze blue and overglaze gilding. The dish features at the top The Three Friends (pine, prunus and bamboo), the center with a medallion depicting a cormorant, and the bottom a sea turtle over a string of coins (a symbol for wisdom, luck, protection, longevity, and in this case prosperity). Incredible yellow gold remembrance brooch of a bouquet of flowers with 2 hearts. Created with 3 different colored hair, the bottom of the bouquet is wrapped with dark brown hair which, due to reflection problems, I was not able to photograph. In excellent condition, no scratches to glass, the brooch is engraved on the back "Anne M Chenault" "1843". The brooch is much more beautiful and intricate than picture. Pair of 19th century Chinese porcelain bowls with custom stands. In excellent antique condition, the dishes each measure 8.25" long, 6" wide, and 2.75" high. Finely detailed Satsuma jar with 4 male figures comprising 2 scenes. One scene depicts Shoki with a nobleman, the other a Samurai teacher with his student. An exceptional piece and what we were not able to capture in the photos is the depth and richness of the translucent glazes. Wood stand and lid were added later and are included. Measures on stand with lid 9.5". Jar alone measures 7.5" high x 6" diameter. Jar dates about 1875.
