A Chinese album with 14 folk art paper cuts loosely mounted on 8.5" x 11" white paper. Hand made by peasants and folk artists using sharp knives or scissors, they were used to decorate their homes and to bring a touch of beauty to their lives. Included is an envelope with 9 paper cuts placed between 7.5" x 5.25" pieces of paper(see last 3 photos), and a booklet about the history of Chinese paper cutting. Dated 1956, this collection has a total of 23 paper cuts and came from the New Zealand Friendship Society Library. We can only list 12 photos, There are 4 large paper cuts that I did not list as well as the cover of the album. All are in excellent condition and I can send photos if necessary.
