Pair of large footed polychrome Chinese porcelain bulb pots featuring cranes. As early as the Song Dynasty and later during the Qing Dynasty bulb pots like these were very popular. They were used for flowering bulbs such as miniature iris and narcissus. Rare to find a pair, these planters are in excellent condition, no chips, no cracks, no hairlines, no repairs. One planter has a few brown spots on the inside bottom which commonly happened during firing. They measure about 9.5" by 6.75" X 3"high. Circa 1900.
