Tradition has it, that the Chinese preferred tea bricks versus coined money; dust from the tea would be made into bricks, and up until the 19th century they were worn as both ornamentation and for exchange. Here is an extreme rarity never before offered, a teabrick well over a hundred years, complete with silk necklace and tassel. The silk has faded to an attractive apricot where it was once red. The tea has the impressed design of a large butterfly among branches and florals. Rare spices make this rarity a fragrant treasure as well. The brick measures 3.5" or 8.9 cm diameter
