Rare design of red and green 'Nanban sweet' ('Alfeloa' in Portuguese) introduced into Japan in 16th century called "Aruhei" of its Japanized name, as so called "Aruhei chawan" of Kyo-yaki (Kyoto ware), dated back to Late Edo period, 19th century, molded by the method of hand-pinching ('Tebineri'), in fine well-used condition as favored for many years according to the sign of its aesthetic permeation into glaze, as an inherited piece ('Denseihin').
No fatal damage but scenic inborn kiln-flaws, Warm and lovely feeling of touch for use. Attached with used wrapping cloth, and old wooden box.
