A lovely enamelled tea caddy. Canton, 18th century. H. 11,5 cm. Condition: several chips and damages to the enamel. Please refer to the pictures.

A rare huanghuali scholar's box with it's original shiny varnish and original brass hardware. China, late Ming to early Qing, ca. 17th/18th century. Dimensions: L. 31 cm, W. 16 cm, H.10 cm. Condition: excellent original condition, only one brass loop at the front plate missing, a small piece of hardware on the lid missing and one of the wooden feet missing.

A finely cast bronze Buddha with an excellent green patina. Burma, Shan state, 18th century. H. 27,5 cm. Condition: excellent. Provenance: bought from Lopburi Arts and Antiques in Singapore, ca. 2001.

A magnificent carved boxwood scholar's rock with beautiful age wear and an excellent patina. China, 18th century. H. 29,5 cm. Condition: One large and one small age crack have been filled with wax. Provenance: Dutch private collection.

A porcelain Kendi with powderblue glaze and decorations in gold, mounted with a silver lid and spout. China, Qianlong (1736-1795). H. 27 cm. Condition: wear to the gold decoration and wear to the silver (see pictures). The silver spout may have had a small lid, that was connected with a chain to the main lid of the Kendi. Note: Many Kendis were exported to Indonesia, it is very well possible that the silver mounts were added there. Provenance: Amsterdam private collection.

Wonderful ribbed huanghuali brushpot with excellent patina. H. 13,5 cm. D. 11,8 cm. China, 17th/18th century. Condition: age crack and ink stains.

An extremely rare set of bronze figures depicting Krishna and his wife Radha. Very well proportioned and extremely finely engraved. Made in Orissa, India in the 17th or 18th century. Krishna is 22 cm high, Radha is 16,5 cm high. A complete set of Krishna and Radha is very hard to find. This set came from a Belgian private collection. I have more top quality pieces from this collection for sale, both in sandstone and in bronze. More pieces will be coming soon. With a wonderful green patina. Excavated in Cambodia and dating from the 17th or 18th century. Length: ca. 10 cm (4 inches) each. Mounted on custom made stands.

H. 18 cm. The vase is in perfect condition. Only the lid is missing, as is often the case with pieces of this age. China, Kangxi period (1662-1722)

An export blue and white plate decorated with a bird and floral patterns. Kangxi period (1662-1722). Marked with an Artemisia leaf. Diameter 27 cm. The silver handle was added in 1854 by the wellknown Dutch silversmith J.M. van Kempen in Utrecht(later in Voorschoten). In the 19th century it was very fashionable in The Netherlands to add silver mounts, lids and handles to antique porcelain objects. Silvermarks: walking lion (silver grade 835), minerva head, maker's mark and year letter U for 1854. Condition: the plate has minor chips to the footrim, otherwise perfect, on the silver handle the top part of one of the leaves is missing.

Wonderful and complete sculpture of Padmavati, a Hindu goddess who is worshipped as an aspect of the goddess Lakshmi, but who also plays an important role in Jainisme as the protecting goddess of the 23rd Tirthankara. (note the Tirthankara figure on her forehead. H. 22 cm (9 inches). Condition: excellent, nice wear due to intensive worshipping (Puja). Original back plate. Provenance: private collection Belgium.

In bhumisparsa mudra (calling the earth to witness). Carved in hardwood, then lacquered and gilded. H. 52 cm. Condition: wonderful original condition with expected age wear. Provenance: Dutch private collection.

Depicting a sitting Tirthankara and his attendants. H. 7 cm (2,8 inches) Provenance: private collection Belgium.

Well proportioned with a nice facial expression, fine engraving and wonderful patina. H. 48 cm.

Rare and large bronze shrine. The central figure is a Jina or Tirthankara. He is surrounded by small Jina's on the back plate. Each of the 24 Tirthankaras is represented by an animal or a symbol. There is an engraved animal on the foot of this shrine, but it is hard to distinguish which animal it is. The shrine is in an excellent condition, all three parts belong together, there are no repairs. It has a clean appearance due to the daily worshipping and washing tradition in Jainism. It was made in Karnataka in the 18th century. H. 34 cm , W. 20 cm. Provence: private collection Belgium.
