A Persian 19th century papier-maché pen box or 'qalamdan', decorated with parrots, flowers,landscapes, portrait medaillions and a breast feeding woman and child.
Length 22 cm.

This type of necklace with a pendant in the shape of a lock was given to Chinese children, so they would be ‘locked’ to life.
1. Large silver pendant decorated in enamel with two hares. The back with good fortune text. 7,5 x 5 cm. ( wear to the enamel)
2. Lock pendant decorated on both sides with flags and good fortune text. 6,5 x 4,5 cm. ( age wear). With mark.
3. Lock pendant with mythical beasts and floral pattern. The back with good fortune text. 5 x 3,5 cm.
4. Small pendant with floral decoration and text. 4 x 2,5 cm. ( dents and wear). With mark.

A lovely folk art Buddha, made of painted teak wood, with detachable ushnisha. Sri Lanka, late 19th-early 20th century.
H. 33cm W. 26,6 cm. Condition: traces of old repainting.
Decorated with a bird on a rock and flower panels. Diameter 14 cm. The footrims with attached oven sand, often seen on porcelain from this period. Wanli (1573-1619). Condition: one saucer with a hairline crack.

A fabulous and rare Jiajing/Wanli kraak plate, made for the Japanese market.
Plate with flattened barbed slightly upright everted rim painted with a figure on a bridge to an island, Crossing a bridge towards a house beneath overhanging tree from rockwork. In the distance on another island stands a thatched viewing
pavilion, all within a band of nine cranes in water with flowering lous, the underside with a fruiting peach branch repeated on the other side below a band of sketchily drawn prunus branches.

Condition: excellent, no chips, cracks or repairs. Comes with a Japanese storage box (tomabako).

Lovely bronze Buddha in the naïve style that is so typical for Laos. It's heavily cast. The Buddha in Bhumisparsa Mudra, seated on a lotus throne. H. 26 cm. Very nice age wear and good patina. There is a minor hole in the front, this is a casting flaw.

A finely cast bronze Buddha with an excellent green patina. Burma, Shan state, 18th century.
H. 27,5 cm. Condition: excellent. Provenance: bought from Lopburi Arts and Antiques in Singapore, ca. 2001.
A very fine example of Burmese lacquer ware, dating from the Mandalay period, ca. late 19th/early 20th century. Apart from sone minor chips to the lacquer and normal age wear, this offering bowl is in excellent condition. H. 58 cm. Diameter 31 cm.
Mandalay Period, inlaid with glass. The stand with gilded metal ornaments. H. 51 cm. Ex. Johan Möger Collection. His collection was published in the ' Burmese Buddhist Sculpture' by Otto Karow.
In bhumisparsa mudra (calling the earth to witness). Carved in hardwood, then lacquered and gilded. H. 52 cm. Condition: wonderful original condition with expected age wear.

Two offering vessels in the shape of an Alpaca, carved from natural stone. In the back a chamber is drilled; it was filled with llama fat or coca leaves. These votive figures were left in the fields as an offering to the Earth goddess Pachamama. H. 6 cm. Dating from the 15th/16th century.

A lovely enamelled tea caddy. Canton, 18th century.

Condition: several chips and damages to the enamel. Please refer to the pictures.
Gilded wood. Guanyin sitting on a lotus throne, placed on an altar. the back plate decorated with mythical creatures. H. 39 cm. Condition: expected age wear.
Made of painted wood, depicting husband and wife, seated on a chair. Most probably from the Hunan Province. The lady still has a small parcel with offerings in her back. We opened it up and found a seahorse, pieces of stone and mica and other materials. H. 27 and 29,5 cm. Condition: heavily eaten by woodworms, which adds to the charme. The figures were treated by the former owner and are perfectly clean.
Depicting several generations of high ranking officials and their wives. Bright colours and very fine painting. Condition: age wear, paint loss, cracks, traces of repainting. The painting had been remounted. Personally I would remove the borders and have the painting framed. Dimensions: the painting 95 x 150 cm, the scroll 109 x 210 cm.

A finely carved sculpture in boxwood of Guanyin, the goddess of mercy.
China, late Qing to Early Republic period, ca. 1900-1920. H. 19,5 cm.
Condition: minor age cracks, good patina.
Ancient bronze food container dating from the Han Dynasty (206BC-220AD). With a domed cover with loop handles. When inverted the cover becomes a tripod dish.
H. 15 cm, Diameter 21,5 cm.
Condition: Good condition with excellent verdegris and lapis patina.

A finely carved redwood (hongmu) box with carved soapstone ornaments in the shape of elephants. China, 19th century.

A good late Qing embroidered silk robe with attached sleeve bands. Late 19th century.
W. 113 cm H. 102 cm.
Condition: generally good with normal age wear and light discoloring.
Seated on a lotus throne, guarded by two attendants. On the back of the stand there is an inscription : This is a statue (or carving) or Kwanyin, for Mr. Wang (??)'s wife, Mrs. Chao (??).
2nd day, 4th month Daoguang 10th year (1830 A.D.).
Condition: usual age wear, loss of gilding, the ribbon from the crown at the right side is missing. H. 23 cm.
H. 9 cm. The glass bottle with masks on the sides. original silver stopper with spoon, inlaid with coral. Very good condition with nice age wear on the glass.
Lavishly inlaid with engraved mother of pearl. Dimensions: 30,5 x 18 x 11 cm.
Exceptional good condition with almost all the inlay still intact, only some minor pieces missing. The wood has some age cracks and one of the long sides is a bit crooked. The brass corner pieces are all original.
The marble painted with scenes of Chinese saints in a garden. Size: 34 x 34 cm. Very good condition with expected age wear.

Depicting a high ranking mandarin with his three wives.
Dimensions: the painting 89x137 cm, the scroll 103x197 cm. Condition: expected age wear, paint loss, cracks, traces of repainting, remounted on a new scroll.
Decorated with dragons, fish, butterflies and long life characters, inlaid with glass beads.
The enamels in green, red, purple and several shades of blue. This type of tiaras was worn by high ranking court ladies at the end of the Qing Dynasty. Size: W. 20 cm , H. 11 cm.
