An extremely rare set of bronze figures depicting Krishna and his wife Radha. Very well proportioned and extremely finely engraved. Made in Orissa, India in the 17th or 18th century. Krishna is 22 cm high, Radha is 16,5 cm high. A complete set of Krishna and Radha is very hard to find. This set came from a Belgian private collection. 'Japanschzoya'means: Japanese Soy, CPD stands for 'Compradoor Decima' and means: trader at Decima. The same text can be found in the round seal on the back. H. 17,5 cm. Excellent condition.
