Wonderful and complete sculpture of Padmavati, a Hindu goddess who is worshipped as an aspect of the goddess Lakshmi, but who also plays an important role in Jainisme as the protecting goddess of the 23rd Tirthankara. A very finely carvedI do-Portuguese panel depicting the virgin Mary being crowned by the holy trinity: Jesus Christ on the left, God on the right and the Holy Spirit in the middle. The virgin Mary is surrounded by clouds and putti. The panel is flanked by flower branches growing from a vase. Dimensions: H. 47 cm, W. 32 cm. Condition: expected age wear, remains of polychromy, a few missing parts (holy spirit and the left arm of God) and restorations.

Octagonal silver tray embossed and engraved with Chinese figures in a garden with pavillions around a pond. On the left there is a phoenix, at the top there is a dragon. The tray measures 32 x 23,5 cm and weighs 823 grams. It is made of high quality silver, according to the acid test that we did. It has a very strong oxidation. Possibly an excavated piece. Mid Qing, 18th to early 19th century. Provenance: collected in Beijing in 1995, since then in my private collection.

H. 14,5 cm. One side decorated with a landscape with figures, the other side with flowers. Condition: firing crack in the neck, age cracks in the glaze. Comes with the original Christie's sticker, the original certificate and the invoice from 1992. The Vung Tau sank in 1690 on its way from China to Batavia, Indonesia. The cargo was meant for Amsterdam. The wreck was found in the early 90's and it's content was auctioned at Christie's Amsterdam in 1992...
