Condition: firing crack in the bottom, chips at the footrim.
H. 14,5 cm. One side decorated with a landscape with figures, the other side with flowers. Condition: firing crack in the neck, age cracks in the glaze. Comes with the original Christie's sticker, the original certificate and the invoice from 1992.
The Vung Tau sank in 1690 on its way from China to Batavia, Indonesia. The cargo was meant for Amsterdam. The wreck was found in the early 90's and it's content was auctioned at Christie's Amsterdam in 1992. The auction became a craze and the porcelain ffetched many times more than estimated. This vase was bought from an antique shop in 1992 for the equivalent of 1700 euros.
Hexagonal pewter teapot inlaid with brass panels engraved with birds, plants and fruits, all with their own auspicious meaning. Qianlong period (1736-1795). H. 24 cm. Good condition with good age wear and patina.
There is a mark on the inside of the lid. I’ve collected this piece in Beijing in the late 90’s and kept it in my private collection ever since.
Carved in the shape of a gourd. The silver with fine engraving. H. 8,3 cm. Excellent condition, nice patina.
A finely decorated snuffbottle with a scene of figures in an interior. Decorated in underglaze blue and red. It has a Yongzheng mark. Considering the quality of the painting and the heavy wear to the glaze, to my opinion it is of the period. Any comments and ideas are very welcome.

Condition: excellent, with heavy age wear to the glaze.
A lobed tray made of brass and copper, enameled in cloisonné technique, decorated with two dragons chasing the flaming pearl. Dimensions 23 x 18 x 2 cm. The tray is in good condition with normal age wear. Ca. Late 19th century..

A rare tomb gift from the Song Dynasty, made of red pottery, covered with green, brown and yellow glaze. The crawling position probably shows that this lady is worshipping the deceased person. Length 17 cm, height 12 cm. Condition: the hands restored, glaze loss. Please refer to the pictures.
H. 11,6 cm. Very nice age wear and a soft patina with traces of puja worship.

The cloisonné stand decorated with rat and vine motif (symbol of long life). H. 18 cm ( 7 inch), D. 10 cm (4 inch). Condition: one chip to the enamel.
A tall round copper opium box, decorated in email cloisonné. China, 19th century. H. 6,7 cm, D. 5 cm. Condition: normal age wear, no damage.

An extremely rare set of bronze figures depicting Krishna and his wife Radha. Very well proportioned and extremely finely engraved. Made in Orissa, India in the 17th or 18th century. Krishna is 22 cm high, Radha is 16,5 cm high. A complete set of Krishna and Radha is very hard to find. This set came from a Belgian private collection. I have more top quality pieces from this collection for sale, both in sandstone and in bronze. More pieces will be coming soon. A very unusual piece that I've never seen before. Possibly this lamp was made as an advertising piece for a lamp shop, or maybe it was used in an opium kit. The foot has decorations in reliëf, covered with enamels.
H. 25 cm (10 inch), D. 21 cm (8,5 inch). Condition: two minor chips to the enamel. The glass seems to be original.
A magnificent carved boxwood scholar's rock with beautiful age wear and an excellent patina. China, 18th century. H. 29,5 cm.
Condition: One large and one small age crack have been filled with wax.

Museum quality piece. The front decorated with two dragons and the flaming pearl, the back decorated with bats, the standing rim decorated with colorful flower bands, both on the inside and outside. China, 19th century. Dimensions: 22 x 15,5 cm. Condition: excellent. A similar tray can be found in the catalogue of the opium exhibition at Kunsthal Rotterdam (collection F. Bertholet and C. Hoogendoorn) page 177 and 178.(see pictures)
A very rare pair of wooden tomb figures with original painting. China, Han Dynasty (206 BC-221 AD). Condition: one head broken, appropriate age wear. H. 27 and 25 cm excluding the stands.

An outstanding piece, this scholar's rock in huanguali with finely carved scenes all around the mountain. This piece may date from the Qianlong period, but not later then early 19th century.
It measures: H 22 cm, W. 14 cm, D. 10 cm.
Condition: excellent, with a beautiful soft patina. A small opening at the top may heve been used as a brush holder.

Made in Ganga-Jumna (two color bronze) technique in the 17th century. This complicated technique is nowadays lost. Please note the very fine detail on this figure, like bracelets, anklets and rings. H. 13 cm.
