An extremely rare set of bronze figures depicting Krishna and his wife Radha. Very well proportioned and extremely finely engraved. Made in Orissa, India in the 17th or 18th century. Krishna is 22 cm high, Radha is 16,5 cm high. A complete set of Krishna and Radha is very hard to find. This set came from a Belgian private collection. A truly wonderful piece, this large Qingbai censer. The lobed body on curved feet which are decorated with masks. The bowl of the censer was made in two parts, a horizontal line is clearly visible on both the inside and outside. China, Song Dynasty (960-1279). Dimensions: H. 17,5 cm , Diameter 16 cm. Condition: Perfect, no damage or repairs. The glaze is crackled and there is age wear to the glaze at the mouth rim and on the protruding parts.
