Wonderful set of 5 cups and saucers with very fine decorations in the typical Ko-Imari palette of underglaze blue, iron red green enamel and gold. apart from some light age wear to the painting this set is in a perfect condition; no chips, cracks, or repairs. Every part is marked with a cherry flower in red and gold. Genroku period (1688-1703)
These bottles were commissioned by the Dutch who had their trade base on the artificial island of Decima, Nagasaki. Made of porcelain and decorated in transfer technique. 'Japanschzoya'means: Japanese Soy, CPD stands for 'Compradoor Decima' and means: trader at Decima. The same text can be found in the round seal on the back. H. 17,5 cm. Excellent condition.

The pouch in the shape of Daruma,made of softwood and boxwood with inlaid mother of pearl eyes. Dimensions: pipe case L. 23 cm, the pouch H. 10,5 cm, W. 7 cm. Condition: excellent.
