A good Qingbai dish engraved with a peony. The unglazed rim was originally covered by a silver rim. This dish is atypical in the sense that it is heavily potted and the back has an unglazed ring. Mostly these dishes are completely glazed on the back. There is a very old collection number on the back.
Condition: age wear in the bowl and a few scratches and glaze cracks. No damage or repair.
Provenance: private collection The Netherlands, purchased from Saskia Jüngeling, antique dealer in Den Haag from the early 70’s until the mid 90’s.
