Lovely early 20th century chair with 3-dimensional carvings on the stretchers, depicting scenes from daily life: a farmer with his cows, a hunting scene, a woman with a baby and 3 figures in a canoe. Judging from the lighter color of the stretchers they may be from a later date, but still from the first half of the 20th century. The chair is in good condition, it has its original leather seat. There is some damage to the carvings and some pieces are missing. Dimensions: 67x36x36 cm.
Provenance: Robert van der Heijden, Amsterdam.
