A serigraph print titled "LOON MOTHER & BROOD", numbered 321/500, pencil signed in the handwriting of arguably Canada's most important indigenous people's artist, Norval Morrisseau (1931-2007). The unframed print, 11" by 15", is currently housed in a clear plastic protective sleeve (as found). It is lightly affixed at three corners to the backing---I chose not to try to remove it. A painted metal cut-out of a fish, with the word "BAIT" as if to advertise a bait shop. This has an American antique folk art appearance though I believe these are made in Asia, as decorative objects. Add to your Adirondack style interior; excellent for the second house at the lake. Measures 8" by 20" extreme dimensions. The tail area has cracks in the metal so this is delicate and should be handled carefully.

A vintage study in charcoal of an infant on its back, 12" by 15" (16" by 19" framed), signed at lower right with what appears as "H Collins", and dated adjacent Sept. 14, 1953. I do not see a listed name that would correspond with this name or variants of it. The study is artistic, reminiscent of timeless Italian Renaissance drawings. There is age toning of the paper and some lighter, whitish areas at lower left, above the infant's left arm, and at lower right.

A nicely executed good-sized pastel drawing, 19" by 23" (24" by 28" framed), the subject a fast-looking high-end sailboat off a coastline, manned by a number of figures. I would estimate the age as circa 1960's or 1970's. Framed behind detail-dulling non-glare glass, which was common during those years. Frame shows wear, drawing is in excellent condition. Signature "Mather" is at lower left.

A beautifully painted unframed work by an anonymous talented hand, late 20th century or later, on canvas, 26 1/2" by 22 1/2", featuring an old-country view of house and courtyard in a valley setting. The flickering, spontaneous impressionist brushwork is impressive. Sadly, the artist did not sign the piece. Excellent condition, needing only a frame.

Watercolor and gouache painting of a ship or boat on roiling, stormy seas, circa 1970's, signed at lower left by artist "Andro", whose worn business card remains affixed to the backing. The work measures 23 1/2" x 17" and 25 1/2" by 19" as framed. The apparent zip code on the business card, 91203, I believe, is Glendale, California. The work is loose in the framing, slipping around. Frame is worn and will likely need to be replaced.

A modern unsigned painting, likely acrylic, the complex surface obviously worked and re-worked and built up by the artist----the piece, unframed, weighs nearly 9 pounds; that is a lot of paint. The measurements are 30" by 24". Despite the thickness of the paint, that paint appears to be stable. The generally monochromatic colors, bluish-gray/black, reminding of volcanic cindery glass, with other color showing through, should work well in a number of contemporary settings. Contemporary or late 20th century watercolor painting of flowering cacti, 14" by 19 1/4" (22" by 28 1/2" in black frame) signed at lower right by artist Anita Zirkle. I do not see biographical information on the artist but she has excelled here, showing her full talent as she creates a close-up (think Georgia O'Keeffe) of yellow flowers on beavertail or similar cacti.
