This is a watercolor on paper painting of the famous Portland Head Lighthouse on the coast of southern Maine, 13" by 16" as framed, unsigned. The lighthouse appears in countless photos and works of art. This example is by an amateur artist. Condition is excellent. There are a few reflections at upper right in some images.

Oil on thin board painting of a canal with figures, boats and adjacent sun-drenched buildings, possibly Venice, unsigned, measuring 6 7/8" by 11 1/2" (13 1/2" by 18" in attractive old frame). Whether Venice, Italy, or another Mediterranean locale, this is nicely executed by a trained hand. It could well be by a listed artist but without a signature it will be difficult to place the hand. Contemporary watercolor of the famous Pirates Alley in the French Quarter of New Orleans, 10 1/2" by 6 1/2" (18" by 14" in newer framing), signed at lower right. The work is beautifully painted by a talented hand that I cannot identify. Condition is excellent. There is a little bit of loss in the frame at upper left corner and lower center, showing as red areas. Some gold paint would cover these. See many other works of New Orleans in my shop.
