Oil on quality canvas painting of a body of water glimpsed through trees in a foggy, veiled atmosphere, titled on reverse "On the Train to Paris 2003", and signed there by what appears as "Lantin Gunison" or similar. The title captures beautifully a particular scene that would appear only very momentarily on a long train ride, never to be seen again. A colorful original work, NOT A PRINT, the subject four palms at the beach, signed at lower left margin in pencil by noted California contemporary artist SALLY HUSS (1940-). The work, art itself 15" by 24" and 23" by 32 1/2" as framed, is typical of the artist's output----always colorful in the extreme, and whimsical, the subjects landscape, florals, or fantasy. Beautifully executed by an unknown but obviously talented artist is this 10" by 8" oil on canvas of a seated woman draped in fabric, against a darker drape background. The work is contemporary.
