This is a very unique item........NOT a print! It is an original drawing in pastel and gouache on a soft old board, measuring 40" by 30" extreme dimensions. The subject is a lovely young Gloria Swanson in a classic 20's 'do, probably created for some kind of advertising purpose like a lobby card, poster, etc., although I haven't found any printed item corresponding to this particular work (though I haven't looked exhaustively). See the net for much more information on the classic 1924 silent film "ZAZA". CONDITION: Obviously, that is an issue here. There are large losses and cracks that enter the image area in places. Though delicate, this item is most certainly preservable and worth preserving. It should probably be matted creatively in such a way as to hide the damaged portions. Perhaps, a restorer could inpaint and minimize the cracks, and otherwise stabilize the work by affixing it to another, stiff board or masonite. Email me for more photos. Due to the fragile nature of this item, I believe a Southern California buyer who can pick it up and transport it is called for; shipping would be difficult to impossible and really not recommended.
