Offered together are **THREE** identically framed drawings on paper, one 9" by 9", the second 11" by 9 1/2", the third 11 1/2" by 9" (all identical frame sizes, 19" by 17"), not apparently signed on the paper itself, though I have not opened these up to see inside, but bearing plaques "E. PASCUAL MONTURIOL" and each bearing an old rubber stamp on the reverse framing paper proclaiming "This painting is guaranteed as original by Parker-Edwards Gallery". I've researched that gallery and find it operated or operates in Larchmont, (Westchester County), New York. The artist's works (mostly oils) appear to sell at auction in Spain and in Uruguay. I've been unable to learn much about him from searching the internet, but he appears to have been most active between the years 1910 and 1931 (the latest dated work I could find). No doubt he knew a number of the major painters of the period. The Uruguayan connection is interesting because a lot of artistic energy was centered in Montevideo at the time, when Torres-Garcia and others were at their peaks. One drawing seems to be ink and pencil, the others charcoal with pencil visible underneath. Condition: Generally clean, though the one of the four figures lifting a heavy roll of pipe or carpet shows a small tear and a brownish stain, maybe from old tape, at upper right, and to the left of the seated figure in one drawing there is a light crease.
