Lithograph on paper, 22 1/4" by 29 1/4" inside the mat (just slightly larger as framed), signed in pencil at lower right and numbered 102/130 at lower left, by important 20th century Spanish artist EMILIO GRAU-SALA (1911-1975). This is an example of the accomplished lithography of this major European artist, the paintings of whom command well into five figures at auctions in Europe and the USA. The subject is a young girl at a table covered by a complex decorative cloth, framed by a vase with tulips, a lamp, a bowl with goldfish, a plate with fruits, and a rear window allowing back light. The picture space is highly manipulated with considerable skill by the artist. The rear table on which the goldfish bowl rests kind of floats in its own space and appears to balance on the foreground table. The piece was originally nicely framed in wood and gold facing, but especially at right side, there is considerable loss. The print's CONDITION: I have not had the time to open this. I believe the soiling visible at right may well be just on the glass. Email me and I will open this up to determine the exact condition situation. See the net for much more on this popular artist. .
