A vintage note on Mary Poppins stationery, (6 1/2" by 4 1/2" sheet, and 10 1/2" by 13" framed--no glass), written in brown ink, signed by actress and Hollywood icon JULIE ANDREWS (born 1935), framed along with a circa 1980 photo of her (no glass). The note reads "For Laura--/With love and all good wishes/from/Julie Andrews/"Mary Poppins". The sheet is browned with age and there is a soft diagonal crease in the top portion; in "Julie" there is a small hole in the paper, perhaps created when pen was put to paper. A scarce item, much more so than a typical autograph dating to a later period, lacking the "Mary Poppins" stationery. Julie Andrews was a child performer in London very soon after the end of the war, and soon by the late 1950's/early 1960's was acting on Broadway. Of course she became internationally renowned with the back-to-back cinematic blockbusters "Mary Poppins" (1964) and "The Sound of Music (1965). Andrews has remained in the public eye in recent years, now an iconic Hollywood figure.
