One of several aviation-related items in the shop, these are photographs of the famous Voyager aircraft over the Mojave desert and over a cloud deck, in test flights before its history-making flight in December 1986. One photo is autographed by Jeana Yeager, the other autographed by her as well as by Dick Rutan. Piloted by Rutan and Yeager, Voyager traveled around the world in 9 days, 3 minutes and 44 seconds. The aircraft entered the record books with its flight of 24,986 miles, circumnavigating the globe without stopping or refueling. The plane weighed a bit over 2200 pounds empty, and the cockpit was less than two feet in width. It now rests safely in the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum collection, along with other historic aircraft. The signed photo over the desert (approximately 16" by 20" as framed) exhibits damage, especially creasing and losses of paper in the lower portion, but the marker autograph signature is clear. The photo in the wild blue yonder above the cloud deck (21 1/2" by 25 1/2" framed) is in excellent condition. Essentially the purchaser is acquiring that photo, the damaged one signed only by Yeager coming along a bonus item.
