This is a PAIR of color aquatints, each 8 1/2 by 12" inside the mat, 13 1/4" by 17" as framed, the subjects Notre Dame cathedral and the Seine in Paris, and the flower market at the Madeleine, each numbered at lower left out of editions of 500 and signed at lower right in pencil, by the noted French 20th century impressionist painter CHARLES BLONDIN (1913-1991). Blondin was active in Paris in the post war years, painting and creating very popular editions of prints which he numbered and hand signed. One print is protected behind glass,a strip of brownish discoloration at top; the other is not behind glass; the image area is clean, with even age browning. Brownish discoloration is limited to the outer margins hidden by the mat.
