Gouache and watercolor on smooth side of Masonite painting of a merchant ship in a stormy sea, 11 1/2" by 15 3/4" (18" by 22" as framed---no glass), signed at lower right "HINGER" (California artist Richard Hinger, born 1937). The work is technically excellent, leading one to think it a print, but I guarantee this to be an original work. Hinger is a Pittsburgh native, but for a number of years has been creating art in California, with Indian themes, landscape and portraits favorite subject matter. He has also created murals. This drawing is in excellent condition despite having no glass.
