A large (50" by 40") hand carved, closed corner, gold leaf frame created by a high-end Orange County art gallery, the artwork within a hand embroidered needlework picture of an Olden Days (18th century fairy tale style dress) couple out for a stroll in a classic landscape with overhanging willow tree and birch trees. The needlework is of unknown age but it is not antique. The value here is largely in the beautiful frame, which is in excellent condition save for several small rubbed areas, on the very edges, which could of course be re-gilded. This is an ambitious, high-end, showy frame that would work well with a French classic poster, for example. Due to the large size, glass would have to be removed, were this to be shipped.
