A very nicely painted work, oil on canvasboard, 16" by 20" (20 1/2" by 24 1/2" in white and yellow frame), titled on a label "Tea Ceremony", the artist name given there as Mario Munoz, and signed M. Munoz at lower right corner. We see a young woman in traditional kimono and hair treatment, seated on the floor next to a low table set with tea service, two shallow bowls with food, and a vase at rear with yellow flowers, perhaps chrysanthemums. Her kimono and the vase are very beautifully handled. I have not been able to locate any more information on the artist. The work likely dates to the 1960's or 1970's, judging from the board used.
