A circal 1960's watercolor painting of the famous 17th century church of Santa Prisca in Taxco, Mexico, and its picturesque sub-tropical surroundings, signed at lower right "Marco Antonio", "Taxco Gro.". The decorative piece measures 12 1/4" by 9 1/2" and 18 1/2" by 15 1/2" in green frame. It is in excellent condition considering that the drawing was made nearly fifty years ago. Taxco then as now was a tourist center, conveniently near Mexico City. The church is renowned for its Baroque period Churrigueresque interior. A fun piece for your Southwest style setting.
