Kirkland in 1961 made a series of erotic photos of Marilyn Monroe, and his career grew rapidly in the sixties and seventies. This book shows in detail, from a fly-on-the-wall perspective, the creation of "Thriller", with many of the images documenting the technical challenges arising from the application of makeup to Michael Jackson.
