A hand signed photo of famed space pioneer JOHN GLENN (1921-2016), who was the first American to orbit the earth, in 1962, when he made three orbits as the world watched in awe. In 1998 at age 77 he became the oldest man to travel into space, when he flew aboard the Discovery space shuttle. In between, Glenn was successful in private business, and was US Senator from Ohio for several terms. This photo, which includes Glenn's late wife Annie (1920-2020) came from the home of people in the investment business who evidently attended a 1999 conference at which Glenn was a guest speaker. Condition is immaculate. Measurements 11 1/4" by 14 1/4" as framed.
