These illustrious earrings are an early example of the luminary, Norwegian silversmith’s artistry. They were made while she was at Norway Designs Plus Studio. As to the individualistic donning of them (and other information), I must defer to Christie Romero’s skillful terseness in, Warman’s Jewelry, Identification and Price Guide, 3rd Edition, Krause Publications, 2002, page 242: “…c. 1958, titled Sling…hoop suspends from ear canal around earlobe without findings.” These ear cuffs are hallmarked “ND” (conjoined), “T” within “V” and “+” – maker’s marks for Norway Designs, Tone Vigeland and Plus, respectively, as well as “STERLING 925 S NORWAY.” They measure about 1 7/8” x about 1 1/8” and are in excellent condition.
