Interesting group of 5 various tools from NW Adams County, Lima Lakes bottomlands area, Illinois. Legal finds from a construction site (details of find history are quite interesting and can be sent on request as it is too long to include here). Chert, heights between 2 3/8" and 2 3/4". All 5 tools are remarkably well worked and in excellent condition. The second from the left is a particularly interesting and complex multi-tool. All have beautiful, multi-colored patinas from contact over the centuries with rich, organic soil. I am unsure of dating, but from comparative examinations I estimate that these are Archaic stage, from 8000-1000 BCE.
