A group of 4 unusual multitools from Fontmaure, France. Jasper, all 4 are in excellent condition with fine ground patinas. Legal surface finds. Heights between 1 1/2" and 2". Interesting study group that are a bit hard to classify. The lithic to the right could be considered a point or borer, and it has a clearly retouched scraper edge. Second from the right has a broad notch and an end scraper, with a gorgeous patina. Second from the left has a large, notched convex scraper, while the lithic to the left is a convex scraper with a very abrupt step flaking. All date to approximately 30,000-15,000 BCE.
