A nice group of Ming miniature glazed food tomb items for taking into the next world. During the Shang Dynasty all the actual pieces were used and have been replaced with pottery figures from the original size to this size. Sizes: See photos. Condition: Very good.

An unusual miniature green glazed bowl with three legs from the Ming dynasty. Size: 7.5cm x 5cm. Condition; No repairs

A very rare and characteristically glazed foo lioness with her left paw on the head of her baby. These usually come in pairs. One with the baby foo lion under the paw and one with a ball under the paw. This one has a lot of feeling with the baby foo lion looking annoyed with the paw pushing down on its head. There is always some humor with some of these statues. Size: H. 40cm. W. 35cm. Condition: Some pieces missing from age and weather.

A very nice Tang Camel with a nice crackling glaze. It is hard to date this piece, could be early 19th century or earlier. Size: H.44cm. W. 32cm. Condition: No repairs or chips.

An unusual Tang pottery of a standing dwarf wearing a robe and panted in orange pigments. He has a stocky figure and a sweet countenance on his downward tilt head. He is full of character. Figures such as these are considered a symbol of good luck and are not easy to find. Age: 618 - 907 AD. Size: H. 10.5cm. W. 6cm.

A realistically formed figure of a resting sheep. The sheep is the eighth Chinese zodiac sign. The hollow form has two glazes - an overall straw-colored clear glaze with a drizzle of amber glaze that drips over its left side. The glazes have now turned iridescent from age - the amber glaze has a golden sheen...

An unusual pig head pottery figure with the front showing the pig's head and the back showing the pigs nose. The pig represents "Good Fortune" and "Prosperity". Size: 7cm X 6.5cm. Condition: Two old chips at the base.See photos.

A nicely detailed miniature green and amber glazed Ming chicken. Of all the Chinese zodiac animals, the Chicken is the most diligent, upright and responsible. Size: H. 8.3cm. W. 7.2cm. Condition: Almost perfect.

A miniature form of a figure riding on a horse. The upper half is glazed in a dark chocolate brown glaze.

Period: Song (10th thru 13th Century) Size: 5.5 cm high

Condition: The left ear on the horse was broken and original ear reattached. (see photos) A small chip on the figure's face. Glaze in good condition and with normal aging.

A nicely made glazed pottery figure of a fish. The word for "fish", yu is a homophone for "abundance" and "affluence" Size: 9.5cm X 5.5cm Condition: Perfect except for some minor age chips on the base.

A miniature Ming pig head. The pig represents "Good Fortune" and "Prosperity". Size: 7.5cm x 7.0cm Condition: Minor chips at the base and some incrustation that can be removed.

A detailed miniature Ming pottery money chest depicting a lock and handles on each side. Size: H. 11cm. L. 12.6cm. W.(Base)8.5cm. Condition: Two minor small chips. See photos.

Blue and white export ware plate. There are four block-printed under glaze "crowns" around the edges of the plate with a brushed "fu" character in the center for prosperity, good fortune and wealth. Size: Diameter. 26.2 cm. Condition: No repairs.

A very rare large four scene Ming jar (1368 - 1644 AD) with three panels depicting the three friends and an additional panel of a small animal, the moon and a mountain scene. Size: H. 56cm. W. 38cm. Condition: No repairs. Some loss of the glaze around the rim. "For his residence, earth was piled to form a hill and a hundred plum trees, which along with lofty pines and tall bamboo comprise the friends of winter, were planted."
