A rare crystal ring from the Pyu dynasty carved with a fish,the sea and a crescent moon. The fish is a early Buddhist symbol for incarnation carried over from Hinduism. In Hinduism, one of their symbols is a fish. One appeared as an avatar (incarnation or physical bodily manifestation) of Vishnu to save mankind from the Great Flood. The Fish (matsya) were originally symbolic of the rivers Ganges and Yamuna, but came to represent good fortune in general, for Hindus, Jain and Buddhists...

A nicely carved natural amber pendant with one bat and leaf design. The bat represent longevity and happiness. The bat and happiness sound is in the Chinese language is similar - both pronounced Fu. Size: L. 2.4cm. Condition: No repairs, cracks or chips.

An very well carved erotic jade of two lovers with a floral patterned robe partially covering their bodies. The jade is translucent and of an even white color. A Kutani Kaburagi lidded bowl painted with symbols of prosperity and longevity in multi-colored enamels and gold. The Golden Hammer (uchide-no-kozuchi) that serves as the handle for the lid, is the symbol of Daitoku, one of the 7 lucky gods. Legend has it, if you shake the hammer, it brings wealth. Around the outer bowl, there are storks (symbols of longevity) nestled inside stylized pine needle formations...

A well carved circular pendant with two facing dragons carved in the Shang Dynasty Style There is a carved circular relief designs on both sides. Age: Qing. Size: Diameter. 4.8cm. Condition. No chips or repairs.

A nicely carved jade pendant with an unusual shape copying the Western Zhou style. Lots of intricate carving on this piece. This is most likely an old jade but I can't date it. Size: W. 8.2cm. H.4.2cm. Condition: No breaks or repairs. Some wear.

A nicely carved jade pig done in the Han style.Pigs represent prosperity and jade pigs were were placed in the hands of the deceased. A nicely carved mythical beast or cute animal in the recumbent position. There is a hole through the mouth for hanging. As for the age, I will date it as a Song piece, but it could also be from the Southern & Northern Dynasties. It is hard to date jade as many Dynasties copied from past dynasties. Size: L. 5cm. A burl wood peach tassel with a glass beaded ornament. The peach is a tremendous Chinese symbol for longevity as well as other auspicious attributes. Size: Peach. L.2.6cm. W. 2.5cm. Glass. L. 5cm.

This is a transitional poster where one of the women is a man dressed as a woman and the other two are women. Size: 75cm X 49.5cm. Condition: Very good. Some tears at the bottom corners.

This is an exceptional very rare poster, not only showing three beautiful girls with elongated bodies, but it also shows the the furniture of the Qing period. Size: 76cm X 50.8cm. Condition: Very good.

This is an original old Chinese poster of two women (actually men disguised as women) advertising cigarettes. Very early poster women were not allowed to pose for these posters. Original posters are almost impossible to find. I had acquired these posters many years ago in Beijing and forgot I had the. Just discovered them recently. Age: 1920s. Size: 76cm x 51cm. Condition: Some fraying around the edges and minor rips from age.

A beautiful and rare glass stupa from the Pyu area.Most of the glass has turned into a beautiful iridescent color which gives a wonderful feeling to this piece. The stupa is unusual as it has a hollow opening in the center. Age: 100 AD. Size: H. 1.9cm. W. At the base. 1.9cm. Condition: A small piece is missing at the base and because it is iridescent at the part also it probably was made that way.

A seated figure covering his eyes with both hands used in Tantric Buddhism believed to provide supernatural powers. This one is made of clay and has tracings of gold leaf. It is incased in a stainless steel case. Size: Outside the case. H.2.2cm. W. 2cm.

Two blue glass earrings from Cambodia most likely a pair. Size: Width. 2.5cm and 2.4cm. Condition: Some incrustation from being buried so long. Age: 300 to 100 BC.

A gold ornament which looks like to me to be a warrior carrying a club. It's hard to date this piece, but looking at the patina on the gold I would say around 16th century.Found in Burma but could be from India. Size: 3cm x 2.5cm. Condition: No repairs.Some opening which are normal in old gold repousse work.

A well carved jade frog that can be used as a pendant. Actually is was worn on the belt.It has two holes under the chin that do not go all the through. It probably had some metal clip attached to it. A very rare Ming hair ornament made of four jade goldfish and a cicada held together by gold wiring made up of a butterfly and floral design. Condition: Normal ageing on the metal parts.

Large table top scholar's huanghuali chest with all it's original hardware. This is an early Ming piece as the huanghuali wood is quite thick. In later Ming pieces the wood was reduced in thickness as the huanghuali became scarcer. The hardware is typical early Ming. It is 100% original except for the inner tray that was probably added later. Size: L. 41.5cm. W. 24.6cm. H. 19.3cm. Condition: Normal ageing.

A beautiful and rare blackwood vanity chest. This is an unique piece and very large and quite heavy. It has all the original brass fittings and many drawers.
