A beautiful and rare blackwood vanity chest. This is an unique piece and very large and quite heavy. It has all the original brass fittings and many drawers. There are many copies of this piece and this is the only original one I have come by in all the years I have been collecting. Age: Early 19th century. Size: L. 35cm. W. 25.8cm. H. 21cm. Condition: All original.

A rare wooden Buddha in a seated position on a lotus pedestal. The face is serenely contemplative and the robe is carved to show the gathered folds. Wooden Buddhas from this period are very difficult to find. This Buddha has a natural, calming presence.

Period: Yuan/Ming or earlier

Size: Height = 31 cm., Width at base = 18 cm.

Condition: The wood has shrinkage and cracks from age. The right ear and fingers of the left hand are missing...

Very pale celadon color jade buckle with 2 dragons. The dragons are beautifully carved with nice detailing. A graceful arch formed by the body of the main dragon curves over the "button." Period: Ching (Early 19th Century) Size: Length = 3-3/4", W = 1" Condition: Very good. A slight inclusion, natural to the stone, on the bi-furcated tail of the smaller dragon

A beautiful red glass bead necklace made from a court official's rank necklace. Made from very high quality matching glass beads. Most of these rank necklaces were broken apart during the cultural revolution. Size: 34cm folded. Bead size: 1cm. Condition: Very good. No chips etc.

A mid size marble scholar's screen with the original marble intact. Floral leaf design painted with a gold lacquered finish. Size: H. 34.3cm. W. 24.2cm. Condition: No repairs.

A large natural amber snuff bottle with carved coral tiles of stylized dragon heads on both sides. The amber is intricately carver on all sides. Size: H. 7cm. W. 4.8cm. Condition: No repairs.

A nice carved curling pig dragon with a bird head terminal to the crest. Hongshan styles have been copied through out different dynasties. It is hard to date this piece, probably early 20th century. Will make a nice pendant. Size: H.5cm, W. 4.5cm.

This is a transitional poster where one of the women is a man dressed as a woman and the other two are women. Size: 75cm X 49.5cm. Condition: Very good. Some tears at the bottom corners.

A very rare gilt figure of Buddha with hands in the earth-touching gesture. The facial features are characteristic of Burmese Buddhas of the time with very large ears and nose.

A beautiful ancient glass bangle in blueish green color. This probably from Vietnam or Cambodia. Size: Outside diameter 6.9cm. Condition: Almost perfect. A very small almost invisible chip on the outside edge.

A nice Tibetan 108 wooden prayer beads with two leather counters from Lhasa. The wooden beads are made from the wood of the Bodhi tree where Buddha received his enlightenment. Size: Total length 44cm. Bead diameter. 1.2cm. Condition: All original.

A nice Tibetan 108 bone prayer beads with two leather counters from Lhasa. The bone is most likely yak bone. It has two turquoise spacers and silver counter. Acquired in Lhasa, Tibet over 15 years ago. Size: 40cm X 2.

A lacquered wood manuscript cover with the rectangular panel carved with scrolling foliate tendrils with a carved vase in the center. Age: 18th Century. Size: L. 37cm. H.14cm. Condition: Normal ageing with and old chip on the left edge and age crack on the right side.

rare light translucent green glaze vase with four geckos as handles complete with original lid. Size: H. w/Lid. 28cm. W. 17cm. Condition: One gecko original body has been re-attached on and inside of the lid a small piece has been re-attached. Overall very good condition.See photos.

An extremely rare pair of original 18th century elm wood lacquered folding chairs. All the parts are original including the original lacquer. Only replacements were the hardware in the folding joints as the originals had rusted out. The back panel has an open- work floral design with a cloud design on the upper and lower panels. A rare, large and beautifully carved scholar's item made of huanghuali and carved with flower vases and a censer as the center piece, with the original hardware.The outer frame could be huanghuali or huali. It is unusual to find these wall decorations in huanghuali. Size: L. 86cm. W. 35cm Age: Late Ming, early Ching piece. Condition: No repairs. A very rare Song stone carved mirror holder in the shape of a mythical ox called n Xiniu. The ox has his head turned upward and is looking at the moon which is represented by the bronze mirror above and the stone carvings represent the clouds. It is very unusual to find this type in stone mirror holder as the few I have seen have been in gilded bronze. Size: H. 19.5cm. W. 15.5cm. D. 8.2cm. Condition: No repairs or chips.
