An authentic Tang tomb guardian wearing a typical warrior's uniform standing on an mythical evil creature with remains of the original pigments.Some earth still adheres to the statue. This item was excavated from a tomb in 1998 with many other items. See last photo. Age: Tang Dynasty 618 - 907 AD. Size: H.36cm. W.17cm Condition: No repairs.

A rare glass eye bead from the Warring States period (475 BC - 221 BC). It has a hole through it for stringing. Size: 1.7cm. Condition: No repairs. Some dirt incrustation from long burial.

A very rare Jin Dynasty Greenware jar with three lugs typical of that era. The green glaze going two thirds of the way down the vase. The inside is glazed also. Comes with a certificate from the Chinese Government Auction House. Size H. 47 cm. Condition: Very nice glaze. No repairs. A fine kiln crack around the bottom unglazed area that does not go through the inside.

A Kushan gold necklace delicately strung with very small ancient lapis lazuli beads (approximately 24 beads to an inch). There are 12 gold coins with images of 6 ancient kings - six on each side. There are 2 kings that we recognize - one is Vasudeva I, the other is "Ohsho" holding an elephant goad, thunderbolts, a trident and a goat. The center bead is a oblong fluted gold bead. There are also two blue glass beads flanking the central gold bead. Wearable.

A very rare large white Chinese vase. Very difficult to find an original white vase like this. The production of white glazed wares was not very large, yet their quality was generally rather high.This one has a symbol of a human figure painted inside most likely done by the those who owned the vase. An ancient carnelian necklace found in Southeast Asia. Many of these carnelian beads were traded around 3000 years ago in mainland Southeast Asia. Many of these carnelian beads could be from India. This necklace was found intact and restrung. Wearable. Size: L. 66 cm. end to end.

Rare and endearing figure of a young boy disciple of Quanyin (the Goddess of Compassion) wearing a garment etched with a lotus flower - the symbol of Buddhism. He is often depicted near Quanyin with his hands in reverential prayer. The bronze is heavily cast and has wires imbedded underneath the pedestal, perhaps for attaching to a group of figures. A very rare nicely moulded vase with a long ribbed neck that flares to a hexafoil rim. The hexagonal body is moulded with bands of flowers. The lower band has alternating patterns of lotus flowers and lotus leaves. There are two lion masks at opposite sides at the shoulder. The vase is covered in a light olive-grey glaze. Period: Yuan - 13th/14th Century Size: Height = 14.4 cm (5-11/16 inches) Condition: Tiny barely noticeable chip at the rim of the mouth otherwise perfect.

A very rare white porcelain Song qingpai ewer with a clear pale bluish glaze. The body and shoulder of the vase have skillfully executed free-flowing scraffiato designs of florals and leaves. The tall cylindrical neck is encircled at the base by two horned dragons whose heads meet at the spout. The grooved loop handle is further decorated with eight small balls. A rare slope-shouldered bronze bell with stand from the Dong Son culture in Vietnam. At the shoulders and at the base are large curl designs with a bull's head in the center and animals around the bell.

Period: Dong Son Culture - 300-200 BC.

A nice assortment of glass beads made into a necklace. The beads date primarily from early Tang to Ming Dynasties. There are also some earlier beads mixed in. Size: Total length 70cm. or 27 inches.

A very unusual & original Han well with the "jing" design, symbol for well and two intertwined snakes for the handle. There is some iridescence at the bottom of the base of the green glaze from age. Green glaze was used to make it look like bronze. Size: H. 30.5cm W.16cm. Condition: Very small repair on the underside of the rim, otherwise in very good condition. See photo.
