This porcelain coffee/dessert service was produced in Germany by Meissen between 1924 and 1934. It has the dot mark under glaze from the Pfeiffer period at the factory. It is a service for 6 with additional pieces. After Dinner Coffee Pot with lid - 8 ¼” high, 6” from spout to handle. Serving tray – 10 5/8” long, 8 ¾” wide and ¾” deep. Tea Caddy with lid - 4” high, 2 ¼” long, and 1 ½” wide. Sugar Bowl with lid - 3 ¼” diameter and 3 ¼” high. Cream Pitcher – 3 1/8” high and 3 ½” from handle to spout. 6 Dessert Plates - 7” diameter. 6 Saucers – 4 7/8” diameter. 6 Demitasse Cups – 2 7/8” diameter and 1 5/8” high. The set is made of the finest quality porcelain produced in the Western hemisphere. The hand painting is bright and colorful in the Japanese Kakiemon style. There are gilded accents in the decoration. Each piece has some special detail to be noted. The shape of the cups have 12 panels and a flared rim. The saucers have 12 panels to match the cups. The lids on the pot and sugar bowl have flower bud finials. The plates have a slight scallop to their borders but the pattern and gilding match perfectly. It is beautiful set for serving and display. Condition: Excellent, first quality.
