This porcelain covered bowl with underplate was produced in England by George Jones in the 1870s. The underplate has a diameter of 6 1/2 inches, the bowl is 4 1/2 inches high and 7 inches long across the handles. The set is marked with an impressed Jones mark. The porcelain is very fine, white bone china. The underplate is contoured so that the well is raised up to meet the bottom of the bowl. The handles on the lid and sides of the bowl are made to imitate branches. They have gilded accents and the rims are also trimmed with gold. The best part of this set is the hand painting. All of the pieces are expertly hand painted with wild roses and branches. You will find a butterfly here and there. The roses tumble inside the bowl and down the sides. They look so sunny and fresh, like a summer day. This is a charming antique piece that will surely grace your table. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain tray was produced in France by Haviland Limoges around 1900. We believe that the porcelain blank was sold white ware to a decorator who hand painted it. The tray measures 11 1/8 inches long and 8 3/4 inches wide. The porcelain blank has a scalloped edge. The ground color blends from deep green, to teal green to yellow. There are raspberry vines trailing across the tray. The flowers, berries and foliage are professionally painted. The colors are bright and vivid. The rim is trimmed with gold. Condition: Excellent.

This porcelain pitcher was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1887. It is model number 1185 and has the date letter indicating the year. The pitcher measures 6 inches high and has a diameter of about 5 1/4 inches. The ground color of the porcelain is ivory. The porcelain is molded with a handle shaped like bamboo. There are leaves molded in high relief scattered around the pitcher. It is painted with birds in flight and trailing flowers and foliage. Much of the detail is outlined in gold. The rims and handle have gold trim or gilded accents. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain tea cup, saucer and plate were produced in England by Spode Copeland in the late 19th century. The plate measures 5 5/8 inches square, the saucer measures 4 3/4 inches square and the cup is 2 5/8 inches high. The set is made of fine, white bone china. The set is interesting in that it is square in shape. It is decorated with cobalt blue borders that have raised enamel beading. There is fancy gold trim and light blue panels at the bottom of the cup and in the well of the saucer. The set displays a formal elegance. Condition: There is slight crazing on the bottom of the cup. It is otherwise in excellent condition.

This porcelain box was produced in Germany by Richard Klemm Dresden in the late 19th century. It measures 3 3/4 inches long, 1 3/4 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches high. The lid is elaborately decorated with a hand painted scene of lovers in a landscape. Fancy gilding frames the scene. The apple green ground is overlaid with a fine mesh of raised gold. The bottom half of the box is white with ornate gilded filigree around it. Condition: There is slight wear to the gold mesh on the lid.

This porcelain and sterling silver vase was produced in Germany between 1934 and 1947. It has the underglaze blue crossed swords mark and incised model numbers. It measures 3 3/4 inches high, approximately 4 1/4 inches in diameter and the opening of the vase is 3 1/4 inches. The body of the vase is moved with panels to give it shape. Colorful assortments of fruits and flowers and hand painted while sprigs and berries dot the surface. The foot of the vase is encased in a heavy sterling silver rim. It is a lovely accent piece for use or display. Condition: Excellent, first quality.

This porcelain bowl was produced in Germany by the Richard Klemm Dresden studio around 1900. The bowl measures 9 1/4” in diameter and 2” deep. The bowl has a frilly molded border that has a scalloped edge. Three large sprays of hand painted flowers accompanied by little buds and sprigs decorate the inside of the bowl. This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by Royal Vienna around 1870. The diameter of the plate is 8 1/2 inches. The plate has sections of the border cut out with reticulated designs and painted with flowers and birds. There are also panels with colorful hand painted birds on branches. They are reminiscent of bird painting done by Meissen and Herend. The center of the plate has a branch of hazel nuts and sprigs of berries. The decoration is beautifully done. This porcelain match holder was produced in Germany before 1920. There is no maker's mark on the bottom, only impressed numbers. We think it may have been produced by Schaffer & Vater. Heubach also produced similar types of jasperware. The match holder is pierced to be mounted on the wall. The decoration is white slip over light green ground in a Wedgwood style decoration. The front of the holder has two of the cutest little winged fairies kissing. There are rococo borders decorating the edges. Two sides of the holder have rough finishes for striking matches. It is an antiquated object of Victorian style. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain basket was produced in England in the mid 19th century. It is unmarked. It measures 8 1/4 inches long and 4 1/2 inches high. It is made of fine quality, white bone china. You would expect this quality from factories such as Minton, Worcester, Davenport, or Coalport. The handle and rim has decoration molded into the porcelain which is accented with gold. There is a hand painted scene of a sailing ship in rough seas. It is expertly portrayed. Condition: There are three tiny surface scratches in the painting. They are not very noticeable.
